About Mrs. Blansfield

A new school year means meeting new friends, but also meeting new teachers. Sometimes it is hard to get to know the people that are teaching your children becasue you don't get to pop into the classroom very often, especially in the middle school years. Hopefully, this brief bio will give you a bit of insight about who that loud little lady is teaching your child!

I am not a life long Delawarian; my unwavering pride for the Phillies, Eagles, & Flyers is rooted in growing up in Ridley, Pennsylvania. After high school, I couldn't leave my favorite city, and attended La Salle University where I played lacrosse. During my time there, I earend a degree in Psychology. Knowing I wanted use my knowledge of the mind to help develop minds, I attended Wilmington University to earn a Masters degree in Education. My love for learning meant that I wasn't ready to be done. In spring of 2014, I couldn't resist returning to school at the University of Scranton where I earned a second Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction. I strive every day to use my education to help students reach their potential and to encourage them to love learning as much as I do!

Outside of school I love to cook, bake, and spend time with my pup, Molly. I also love to be outdoors and spend time with family. I am also the head coach of Padua Academy's lacrosse team. When I'm not filling my time with learning, reading, baking, coaching, and running with Molly, I squeeze in time for surf fishing and camping with my husband.
